Corner and edge wear; free-endpapers browned where facing pastedowns; very good; no wrapper.

Cover edges 'dusty' and slightly foxed (heavier round spine); staples rusty but little staining; corners creased; very good minus.

Illustrated with monochrome drawings by Simonetti and Leo Rawlings. 1" x ½" sticker on front-board (I /strongly/ advise leaving this alone, it will look 100 times worse after any attempt to remove it); slight edge-wear, especially corners; laminate riseing at spine joints; pages toned; very good minus (no inscriptions, no bumps, not ex-library), not price-cut (no wrapper).

There are signs of candle-wax on the front board and front-free endpaper (does not appear wise to attempt any further removal), two ins. (1946 & 1956) on half-title, corner and edge wear, internally near fine. Average.
