George Bell and Sons, 4th edition reprints. 11" x 7ž", quarter brown buckram with brown cloth sides, ardbacks. Top-edges gilt. Illustrated with monochrome reproductions mostly printed litho on 'art paper' but also with several Photogravure plates. Vol. 1 (1904): 365pp plus 90 plates (inc. 8 Photogravure [2 are missing here]); Vol. 2 (1903): 292pp plus 88 plates (inc. 8 Photogravure); Vol. 3 (1904): 394pp plus 97 plates (inc. 8 Photogravure; Vol. 4 (1904): 310pp plus 100 plates (inc. 8 Photogravure; Vol. 5 (1905): 426pp plus 109 plates (inc. 8 Photogravure. Externally only good, 2 Photogravure plates missing from volume 1, several plates loose (1 in vol. 1, 4 in vol. 2, 4 in vol. 3, and 2 in vol. 5) which are, consequently, now a bit worn round the edges, internal hinges weekish; endpapers browned (varies between volumes); internally generally very good (NOT ex-library); no wrappers.

Illustrated with 32 sides of monochrome photographs plus drawings within the text. Very good (no inscriptions, no bumps, not ex-library) complete with good (edge-wear, 'dusty', slight marks) wrapper, not price-cut.
