Vermeer, Johannes - The Masters: No. 2. - Knowledge Publications, 1965? 14" x 10ž", 24pp, colour illustrated card, sb. Eight pages of text with monochrome illustrations and 16 sides of colour reproductions (3 illustrations span 2 sides, the rest ocupy their own page). Very good.

Vermeer, Jon - The Paintings of. George Allen & Unwin, 2nd imp., 1942. 14" x 10˝", not numbered, grey canvas, hb. The book has a 10pp introduction by Thomas Bodkin that is illustrated with 5 monochrome reproductions within the text and 5 colour plates printed sepeartely and mounted within the text. The remainder of the book consists of 15 (inc. frontispiece) heavy-card sheets with a colour reproduction mounted on them (1 is missing), 36pp of monochrome reproductions, 1 to a side and printed on both sides, and a loose (intentionally) folded double page monochrome plate. Colour plate no. 27, 'Head of A Girl', is missing (mount still present), the edges of the loose monochrome plate are a bit 'ruffled'; the spine is somewhat dulled, as is the front board at the top and near the spine (the book has been placed against other books leaving this secion exposed, but not on the back board); front hinge very weak, nearly split; the grey card used to mount the colour plates is 'browning' around the edges, o/w in very good condition.
