Illustrated with 64 sides of monochrome photographs, located at the back of the book, and a colour frontispiece. Lower-front corner of front-board slightly rounded; lower-front corner of back-board bumped; slight edge-foxing; very good (no inscriptions, not ex-library) complete with good (loss to head of spine and adjacent front-panel area, edge-wear, 1" tear to lower-edge of front-panel by front corner, laminate raised over spine folds), price-cut, wrapper.

Read, Herbert - Vermeer. The Masters Series No. 2. Knowledge Publications, 1965. 14" x 10¾", 8pp plus 8 plates, card covers, softback. Illustrated with 14 (including the cover) colour reproductions of Vermeer's work as plates printed on both sides on good quality paper (you would be able to frame them but 3 of the illustrations span 2 pages and the cover illustration is not really suitable). Very good plus, contents fine (no inscriptions, not ex-library).

Very slightly sunned spine; inscription in top-front corner of front-free endpaper; very good (no bumps not ex-library) complete with good (chipped at head and foot of spine with slight loss at head; slight edge/corner wear; slightly sunned spine) wrapper, not price-cut.

Illustrated in monochrome reproduced by high quality photogravure (no modern printing method comes anywhere near photogravure quality). Cover a little 'dusty'; slight edge-wear; importer's (Soho Gallery Ltd) price (1/6) stamp in top-front corner of inside cover; very good minus (no inscriptions, not ex-library).
