Spine sunned; spine splitting at head (2" at back-board, " at front-board); corner and edge wear; old-price (10p) written on top-front corner of front board (apparently in faint felt-tip which won't, as can be seen, erase); slight edge-foxing; slight foxing at ends; top 2" of front-free endpaper removed (obviously had an inscription on it); puzzle/crossword completed in light pencil; however, internally very good, no wrapper, not price-cut. This is a reading copy only, not collectible condition; great fun, though; Girls' Crystal was much more textually inclined with long, good stories, of the type found in the '20s/'30s story-papers (Crystal originated during that period and mostly kept that style, modernised, and some of the pen-names) rather than comic-strips (although it has a few of those too).

Travelling in a super-caravan the trio meet many difficulties, and Kit finds herself up against a formidable rival in a young French rider, Francoise Dubois. Francoise is as unscrupulous as she is skilful, and but for Pierre Latour, another young rider, the team would have been stranded through her scheming.
