Scope of Practice

Overview
This practice offers both home visits and a clinical service. Patients come from all age groups and backgrounds with a wide variety of problems of diverse origin.

Routine Chiropody
Routine chiropody forms the backbone of this practice. Many patients have concurrent medical conditions which require close liason with the patients' medical practitioners. An appointment can normally be offered within 3-4 days, given some element of flexibility in the timing!

Biomechanics - Orthoses - Sports Injuries
Pain under the sole of the foot during the run? Or shin splints? Arch or heel pain after working all day? Maybe it's low back pain, and the problem worsens when walking uphill? Downhill? Shooting pain round the big toe joint, especially when teeing-off!
A full service for diagnosis and treatment is available. This practice is registered with the Medical Devices Agency for the provision of foot orthoses and devices. If an orthosis is prescribed then it will normally be ready for fitting and collection within 7-10 days (3-4days for overseas customers).
Besides casted othoses, custom made functional insoles can also be provided.
OVERSEAS ENQUIRIES ARE WELCOMED.
Nail surgery
A service for the treatment of ingrowing and excessively curved nails is available, with a range of options and procedures. Where necessary the nail bed can be treated to prevent a regrowth. Please note that some procedures may not be offered if there are certain concurrent medical conditions.
OVERSEAS ENQUIRIES ARE WELCOMED.

Footcreams and Essential Oils
Euped footcreams and essential oils are available from this address. These creams are only available to the public through chiropodists/podiatrists. The creams are hypoallergenic, they contain no animal derivatives (are wholly vegan), and are excellent emollients. The variety Ultra contains no fragrances and is therefore especially suitable for diabetics. (The preservatives used are phenoxyethanol and parabens.)
Essential oils such as tea-tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) can be supplied at competitive prices in 20ml dispensing containers.
Custom designed labels
The above can be supplied with custom designed labels, stating, for example, the name of the practice, business, or chiropodist, together with a logo and other information as requested. Requests for custom made formulations are welcomed.
