Closing date for Lent Call 2010    31st July 2009


Please include the following information

1.  Your full name, address and contact details, and your connection with the Diocese of Southwark and with the charity nominated.

2. The full name, address and contact details of the nominated charity, giving an indication of patrons, presidents and trustees where appropriate.

3. A brief account of the work of the charity, how and why it was set up, where and with whom it works, its past projects and works, and its future projects and hopes.  Please include information about any special appeal or about why this charity should particularly be chosen in 2010, such as an important anniversary etc.

4. An up-to-date account sheet, if possible, or at least as full an indication as possible of the financial situation of the charity nominated.

5. A reason why this particular charity should be supported by the Bishop of Southwark's Lent Call.  This may mean indicating a clear link between the projects, location, founders etc. of the charity and the Diocese of Southwark,  or it may be some other reason why this particular charity would be appropriate for the Diocese of Southwark to adopt in Lent and in 2010.

6. As much other documentation as is possible and relevant.  (Flyers, adverts, brochures, Annual Reports etc.)

 

Please note.  The final decision about which charities have been accepted for the  2010 Lent Call will be taken at the Bishop's Staff Meeting in September 2009.  The Bishop will then contact successful applicants by the beginning of October.  For information after the staff meeting about the decision please contact the Bishop's Chaplain
