Stuart Arms

The central panel is a representation of the Stuart sovereigns, and were borne by Charles I under whom Viscount Grandison completed his purchase of the manor in 1627.  The quartered shield carries the royal coat of arms of England (top left, bottom right), Ireland (bottom left) and Scotland (top right).  The shield is accompanied by the usual crest, supporters and mottoes.
