John
St JohnThis coat of arms seems remarkably similar to the set in the left panel. A careful examination reveals that it contains four extra quarterings not in Oliver St John's arms, and that the crest is a falcon, not an eagle, which tells us that its bearer was not a Viscount. This is the coat of arms of John St John, Knight and Baronet, the Viscount's nephew and heir, who became Lord of the manor on his uncle's death in 1630. The motto, Sanctus in terra, Beatus in caelo means 'holy on earth, blessed in heaven'.
