Peel Engineering were the only car manufacturer based in the Isle of Man. They also produced the smallest car made in the UK and one of the smallest cars ever made, the Peel P50

The Peel P50 was designed to accomodate one adult only.

It was powered by a tiny 50cc two-stroke engine

It was fitted with a lifting handle at the rear to aid parking or to allow it to be wheeled inside the owners house for safe keeping !

Later on another model was introduced called the Trident.

Some of these were fitted with two seats, yet it was still powered by a 50cc two stroke engine. (One or two were made with a slightly larger 125cc engine)

Access was by lifting the lid !

Peel engineering later produced a small sports coupe using BMC mini mechanics.
