DMW motorcycles were produced in Sedgley in the UK. They were always a small manufacturer and produced motorcycles that were innovative and sometimes very different from the mainstream.
The example below is a DMW Deemster. This was an attempt to combine the good points of both motorcycles and motorscooters. The result was probably to big and heavy to appeal to the scooter rider and too strange to appeal to the traditional motorcyclist. It did. however find a niche market with the police and several police forces used them.
