A day of surprises.
Rudi takes the gypsy girls to the Enchanted Wood!

Vicky ......made Scrappy as a gift. She also made 3 beautiful potion/ perfume bottles!
also made the framed pictures and the beautiful bottles! I am sure the silver one
contains a potion! and hand made birds (green budgie, blackbird, blue tit and finch)
and yellow budgie and necklace

Nanna Val..... hand painted and sent a watering can , a photo frame with Maxie in it ,
made Fifi the Poodle as a gift,sent Foxy Lady a painted jug and Saucy Squirrel. hay net,
raffia string-bedding, bail of straw , hedgehogs, badger,lamb, Goat , tortoises and
hand made tray!

Bambi......bought a lovely trinket box and inside is a gypsy crystal ball. Also a brass storm lamp
an oil lamp, a canal ware bucket and a milk churn (and a Gypsy story book for Gypsy Patty!) a gazebo.

Elayne and Elise.....For Elise's new caravan, Tiny the Yorkshire terrier, Pixie and Dixie the two kittens,
A tea cup, saucer and plate with Yorkies on them, a Gypsy caravan scene doggy blanket,
Quackers the Duck, Goldie the Mrs chicken ,Cluck the Mr Chicken ,Tarot cards,Bambi the Deer,
Pip and Squeak Mice, ,Cindy the guinea pig, Peanut the Squirrel
a papo shire horse,a lovely donkey, a lovely shire foal, highly detailed cow, 3 scarecrows
4 garden gnomes, bird box and a set of garden tools,
and a pair of wellies! great for wearing when mucking the stables out!

A few weeks have passed, the cool Spring has gone and the beginning of a lovely summer has arrived , Mother nature awakens the flora and fauna, plants grow and blossom , alsorts of wild critters pair up, give birth and bring up families of their own.
Long warm days and pleasant evenings sitting out or going for a stroll with some of the critters happily following them. Then a slow walk back and supper by the camp fire after feeding and settling the sanctuary critters...............
"What a truly idyllic life we live on this beautiful estate with our critters," said Elise.
Rosa-Su replied, "Yes, it is such a wonderful place to live and so close to nature.
Rudi has settled back in his place of birth , so happy to get out of city clothes , back into his informal clothes and settle into his new position which he is thoroughly enjoying as the local vet on the Darnley Estate. He checks the critters in the sanctuary every week and is advising Elise and Rosa-Su , and has been visiting the Gypsy girls most evenings when he is not busy. He often takes them to see places on the estate that they have never seen.......
Today is A day of surprises!.........

The legend of the Sylvanian Sweetheart tree !!



It is Elises birthday, she is opening her cards.
"Happy birthday Elise! " Said Rosa-Su.
Elise replied,"Thank you so much !"
"There is a note from Rudi with my birthday card from him.
He wants to take us both to see some of his friends this afternoon, how exciting!" Added Elise.
Rosa-Su already secretly knew this..........She, Woody and Mrs Miggins had planned
a birthday surprise for when they got back!
"Thank you so much for my lovely gift Rosa-Su! I shall wear my pretty headscarf this afternoon
on our trip with Rudi!" Said Elise.

"Have I tied it correctly, how do I look?" said Elise "There you are Elise! It fits you perfectly and you look fine!" Said Rosa-Su.

The girls fed the critters "The weather is beautiful again today isn't it? " Said Rosa-Su.
"Yes, Summer is finally here!" Replied Elise.

Elise waters the plants in the trough.

Rosa-Su checks the shrubs. Scrappy is helping Rosa-Su to water the shrubs!!:)

"Hello Girls! are you both ready?" Said Rudi. "Mrs Miggins and Woody have come to sit in the sunshine with the critters, so we don't have to hurry back."
Both girls were excited as they said a quick hello to woody and mrs Miggins before climbing into the cart.
Rudi called to the girls, "Bring Scrappy, Fifi, Tiny and Bo! They can come too!"

Rosa-Su and Elise ,Scrappy, Fifi, Tiny and Bo get in the cart and wave.....Off they go!!

While Rosa-Su and Rudi keep Elise busy Mrs Miggins and Woody prepare a party
with food and cakes for Elise's birthday!

Rudi stops the cart and says, "Here we are! This part of the estate is known locally as, The enchanted wood ! I want to share the secret of the enchanted wood with you two!" Scrappy , Fifi and tiny get very excited and start jumping up and down!
"What is wrong with them?" said Rosa-Su.

Rudi replied, "Scrappy, Fifi and Tiny are excited because have been here before, with Woody! Come on lets all get out." As they were getting out of the cart Rudi called, "Maxie...Cherry! Mr and Mrs Hazel....We are here!!"

The little caravan door opened and out came 2 Sylvanian hedgehog children and their Ma and Pa!
Scrappy, Fifi and Tiny ran to them and started making a fuss.
Then off they ran to play together!

Elise and Rosa-Su were so surprised to see the Sylvanian hedgehog family!
"Oh My what a wonderful surprise to meet such a lovely family! Hello Mr and Mrs Hazel and Maxie and Cherry and Twigs the horse! we are so pleased to meet you" said Rosa-Su and Elise together.
Hello Rosa-Su and Elise , we have heard so much about you and your critter sanctuary from Woody and Rudi" said Mrs Hazel.

Mrs Hazel put a large picnic blanket on the grass.... "Please take a seat, make yourselves at home and I shall get you three a drink of
blackberry juice and some walnut cake." Said Mrs Hedgehog. The girls and Rudi sat down.

Rosa-Su said ," Thank you so much Mrs Hazel this cake is delicious!"
Elise added, "I agree, and it would be a real pleasure if you visited our sanctuary, if you bring your caravan too you could have little holiday with us".
Rudi said, to mr and Mrs Hazel "You and your family will be safe with Rosa-Su, Elise and their critters!!"
Mr and Mrs Hazel thank Rosa-Su, Elise and Rudi and say," Yes, that would be really nice!
We would love to stay with you in your critter sanctuary, Thank you!
Our Children will enjoy meeting your critters!"

Elise watched the Hazel children play with Scrappy, fifi, Tiny and Bo. She then noticed the beautiful and very unusual tree......

What a lovely tree , what is it called?" said Elise.
Rudi replied, " It is called a Sylvanan Sweetheart tree, and it also has important healing qualities. I planted the seed , when I was a small child and look how tall it is now!"
Mrs Hazel said, "It is your birthday today Elise, isn't it?"
Elise, very surprised, replied, "Yes it is!"
Mrs Hazel then said, " The Sylvanian Sweetheart tree is for you Elise , I must also add the tree is enchanted!" as she winked at Rudi!............. Rudi blushed!

The time passed very quickly and it was time to go back to the scanctuary (and the surprise party!) Elise, Rosa-Su and Rudi said their Thanks and good-byes to the Hazel family and Twigs. Elise said "Thank you for my Sweetheart tree, I shall take great care of it!" "We have all had a truly enchanting time with you too and we shall come and stay with you soon!" Said Mr Hazel.

Waving goodbye they set off back to the sanctuary.
The girls thanked Rudi for taking them to see the Hazel family in the enchanted wood.

The girls call to Woody and Mrs Miggins............We are home!!!!!! "Hello to you three , Have you had a good time with the Hazel family?" said Mrs Miggins. Rosa-Su replied, "We have indeed! They are such a lovely and friendly family. Do many people know about the Sylvanians and the enchanted wood?" Mrs Miggins replied, "No my dears, Only trustworthy and honest people. Lord Darnley, Woody, Rudi, and the two of you know of their existance. Elise said, "Thank you for trusting us and letting us know the secret and meet them."

"Oh my! a lovely birthday party! Thank you all!" said Elise. Mrs Miggins, woody, Rudi and Rosa-Su sing happy birthday to Elise!

Woody called to Rudi. "Have you brought your mandolin?" Rudi replied ,"yes!"

After eating, Rudi gets his Manolin and plays a jig and Mrs Miggins danced with Woody!

It is Elise's turn to dance with Rudi! "What a wonderful birthday I am having!" said Elise Elise asks Rudi about the Sylvanian sweetheart plant as they dance.
Rudi replied, "I will tell you later."

Elise , and Rosa-Su are looking at the Sylvanian sweetheart tree and Elise is asking Rudi about how to care for it.

Mrs Miggins and Woody come to have a look at the tree. Mrs Miggins asks Rudi if he has told Elise about the tree yet. Rudi tells Elise the enchantment behind the Sylvanian sweetheart tree. "As the legend goes, if a boy child of a woods person plants the seed of this tree on a Summer solstice, (21st of June) and in years to come on a summer solstice the tree is given as a birthday gift to a girl who is fond of it, then the boy (who planted it) and the girl will fall in love, marry and be sweethearts for the rest of their life. Elise blushed and so did Rudi. Rosa-Su smiled a big smile with tears of happiness in her eyes, and said, "Everyone here can see you two are meant for each other and I think you both know too!...How wonderful!" "Bless you both my dears," Said Mrs Miggins and woody said, "I am pround of you Rudi and your Elise too!"

Elise and Rudy stand close to each other and kiss by the sylvanian sweetheart tree and pledge their love for each other. Rudi said, " I fell in love with you the very first time we met!" Elise replied, and I with you Rudi!" They sealed their future with a lingering kiss. I must go now Elise, I shall see you tomorrow, we need to make plans for our future here on this estate with the critters!"

Rudy , Mrs Miggins and Woody go home and say their goodbyes ...........'till tomorrow!

At the end of the lovely day, both Rosa-Su were very tired ..... Rosa-Su brought a letter from her pocket and said to Elise. "I have some news too.... I have never told you about my Lewis have I?" Elise replied, "Who is Lewis?.. Please tell me!" "Let me tell you tomorrow," Said Rosa-Su. "I will look forward to hearing about him!" Said Elise
