The gypsy girls and Critters meet Rudi!

contains a potion! and hand made birds (green budgie, blackbird, blue tit and finch)

Nanna Val..... hand painted and sent a watering can , a photo frame with Maxie in it ,
made Fifi the Poodle as a gift,sent Foxy Lady a painted jug and Saucy Squirrel. hay net,
raffia string-bedding, bail of straw , hedgehogs, badger,lamb, Goat , tortoises and
hand made tray!

Bambi......bought a lovely trinket box and inside is a gypsy crystal ball. Also a brass storm lamp
an oil lamp, a canal ware bucket and a milk churn (and a Gypsy story book for Gypsy Patty!) a gazebo.

Elayne and Elise.....For Elise's new caravan, Tiny the Yorkshire terrier, Pixie and Dixie the two kittens,
A tea cup, saucer and plate with Yorkies on them, a Gypsy caravan scene doggy blanket,
Quackers the Duck, Goldie the Mrs chicken ,Cluck the Mr Chicken ,Tarot cards,Bambi the Deer,
Pip and Squeak Mice, ,Cindy the guinea pig, Peanut the Squirrel
a papo shire horse,a lovely donkey, a lovely shire foal, highly detailed cow, 3 scarecrows
4 garden gnomes, bird box and a set of garden tools,
and a pair of wellies! great for wearing when mucking the stables out!

Rudi arrives!!



Woody turns up at Elises caravan one fine morning with a letter and asks her to read it
to him............... "Hello Elise, I have a favour to ask you, Could you read this letter to me please?
I have broken my reading glasses and can't see to read without them. "Said Woody.
Elise replied, Of course I will read it to you!"

Elise opened the letter and started reading it aloud to Woody........
"Dear Dad,
I have passed all my exams ,I have gained my certificate RCVS and I am now a fully qualified
Veterinary surgeon!
I applied to Lord Darnley as I know he is in need of a vet for the animals on his estate
and there are the critters in Gypsy Rosa-Su and Gypsy Elise's critter sanctuary you have
told me about and of course the wonderful Sylvanians I used to play in the forest with as a child.
Lord Darnley is happy with my qualifications and looks forward to me starting a practice
on his estate, where I can be on call to attend any sick animals. I have a week to settle in before starting work, so I will be able to catch up on all the news.
I will be arriving Saturday on the mid day train at Beauchief station.
Please say Hello to Rosa-Su and Elise. I am looking forward to meeting them and their critters!

"I didn't know you had a son Woody, what a wonderful man he must be to study and be a Vet!"
Said Elise.
Woody replied, "Rudi was born and brought up by his Mother and me in our cabin in the woods on
this estate.He has always a great love and understanding of all animals since he was a small child
and it was no surprise when he wanted to study and become a vet.
I am very proud of him and looking forward to his arrival!" Said Woody.
Elise said, "Wait a minute Woody, It is Friday today, Rudi will be here tomorrow then!"

"Oh My! Oh Yes! I will get to the station early with Monty and the cart, to bring Rudi and his
luggage home!

Rosa-Su arrives.
Elise and woody tell Rosa-su about Rudi.....
Both Rosa Su and Elise are excited and happy for Woody.
"I think it is wonderful news about your son." said Rosa-Su. Elise added,
"I have often wondered what we would do if any of our pets and critters ever became ill.
Well, now we don't have to worry and we can learn from Rudi!"
Woody said, "I think Rudi would like to meet you two girls and all your critters so
I shall bring him to meet you."
OH! that would be lovely!" said the girls.

" I must go and make up Rudis bed in my cabin and prepare for his arrival tomorrow." Said Woody
"See you girls soon!" he added.
Both the excited girls waved goodbye to Woody.

Elise and Rosa-Su had their evening meal outside in the warm spring sun amongst the critters
Elise said , "I wonder what Rudi is like?"
"Well He likes pets and all types of creatures, so, I imagine he will be friendly,
quiet spoken, gentle and really nice , just like Woody is ." Said Rosa-Su.
"Yes, I think you will be right, Rosa-Su," Replied Elise.

"Isn't it lovely sitting here? All the critters are safe and can roam freely while we sit and watch them!" said Rosa-Su.
"Yes, it is lovely........we shall spend long Summer evenings sitting outside.
I think it would be nice to invite Woody and Rudi to have supper with us sometime ." Said Elise.
"You have given me an idea Elise! Shall we have a welcoming party for Rudi?" said Rosa-Su.
"We can make sandwiches and get out the small cask of ale we got from the tavern at Christmas!"
Said Elise.
"Good idea!" replied Rosa-Su.

The girls settle the critters down for the night.

All settled for the night the are caravans closed and the gypsy girle sleep soundly
after a busy day!

The girls are up early and both feed the critters and give them their weekly check Saturday is quite a busy day because it is the day that Elise and Rosa-Su give every critter a little check-up of eyes, ears, nose, mouth, coat, legs and feet,for any health problems. "

Elise called, "I am pleased to say the critters I have checked are all fit and well!"

The girls have just finished their work when they hear Voices call. "Hello Rosa- Su and Elise!"

The girls turn around and see woody . ............
Woody said, "Here is my Son Rudi," . We have just come from the station and called in the
tavern to see Mrs Miggins who gave us a big basket of food to share with you!
Rudi couldn't wait to meet both of you ,scrappy Fifi, Tiny, Bo and all your cute critters!"
Hello Rosa-Su, Hello Elise! I have heard so much about you from my Dad,
I feel as if I already know you both very well!" said Rudi smiling.
Both the girls replied at the same time, "Hello Rudi we are pleased to meet you!"

"Please show me around your lovely sanctuary! I would love to meet all your critters,"
Said Rudi.

Rudi had a soft voice and a gentle manner and was a really nice person just like Woody.br>

Rudi shakes hands with Elise.....

All the critters came close to Rudi as he spoke in gentle tones to them.
Just like they do when Woody speaks to them.
Rudi said, "You really look after your critters very well Elise and Rosa-Su,
They all look happy , well fed and healthy!"
"Thank you Rudi" said Elise and Rosa-Su.
Rudi added, " I am really going to enjoy working as a vet on this estate.
It is something I have dreamed of since being a small child.
I can see you both love critters as much as my Dad and I do.

The girls put the food on the tables ready to eat!

They all sit , eat and make plans.......
"What are your plans Rudi?" asked Elise.
Rudi replied, "Well , first when I get back with Dad to the cabin ,
I look forward to changing from this suit into my favourite comfortable clothes
instead of this suit!"
"What are your favourite clothes?" said Elise.
Rudi said, " You will see next time I come and see you!"
Elise smiled and replied , "OK!!"
"I know you have only lived here for just over a month , so you won't have seen much
of this estate. When mid Summer arrives and the weather is warm, I shall show you both all
this estate and some the critters who have lived in the woods and the forest for many years,"
Said Rudi.
Woody added, "I shall take good care of your critters while you are away!"
"Oh that would be lovely Rudi thank you and thank you to Woody too!" said Elise and Rosa-Su.

After their meal....... the girls, Rudi and Woody feed the critters and sit a while chatting

Both girls say their goodbyes and say, "See you very soon and thanks for visiting", to Woody and Rudi. Rudy and Woody wave and say goodbye for now.....................And off home they went!
