Gypsy Cute Critter Sanctuary.... Autumn Euinox.
The gypsy girls have an exciting last day of Summer!

Vicky ......made Scrappy as a gift. She also made 3 beautiful potion/ perfume bottles!
also made the framed pictures and the beautiful bottles! I am sure the silver one
contains a potion! and hand made birds (green budgie, blackbird, blue tit and finch)
and yellow budgie and necklace

Nanna Val..... hand painted and sent a watering can , a photo frame with Maxie in it ,
made Fifi the Poodle as a gift,sent Foxy Lady a painted jug and Saucy Squirrel. hay net,
raffia string-bedding, bail of straw , hedgehogs, badger,lamb, Goat , tortoises and
hand made tray!

Bambi......bought a lovely trinket box and inside is a gypsy crystal ball. Also a brass storm lamp
an oil lamp, a canal ware bucket and a milk churn (and a Gypsy story book for Gypsy Patty!) a gazebo.

Elayne and Elise.....For Elise's new caravan, Tiny the Yorkshire terrier, Pixie and Dixie the two kittens,
A tea cup, saucer and plate with Yorkies on them, a Gypsy caravan scene doggy blanket,
Quackers the Duck, Goldie the Mrs chicken ,Cluck the Mr Chicken ,Tarot cards,Bambi the Deer,
Pip and Squeak Mice, ,Cindy the guinea pig, Peanut the Squirrel
a papo shire horse,a lovely donkey, a lovely shire foal, highly detailed cow, 3 scarecrows
4 garden gnomes, bird box and a set of garden tools,
and a pair of wellies! great for wearing when mucking the stables out! A big thank you to the little bird who sent Lewis!;)

The Treasures of Autumnal Equinox !

Rosa- Su and Elise have finished feeding the critters and over their morning cup of coffee they are chatting about the coming seasons, Autumn and winter.
"The sun is lower in the sky and the days are starting to get shorter which means longer and cooler evenings.
The Autumnal Equinox is just a few hours away." Said Elise.
Rosa-Su replied, "We have enough money in our critters sanctuary bank account now, due the money raised at the Summer Fayre, to last a good year, so we have no worries there."
They both make a list of important items.... food and bedding for the critters and adding more cover to the shelter to shield the critters in there from cold,
biting winds and snow when winter arrives. More horse rugs will be needed too.

Rosa-Su and Elise are looking at the shelter. "We shall also need a store of logs for fires and cooking, we can keep them dry in the corner by the gazebo." Said Elise.
"Good Idea! Perhaps a warm cloak each and extra blankets on our beds too." Said Rosa-Su.

Rosa-Su said to Elise,"shall we ask Woody to check the shelter and if there are any leaks which need repairing and ask him about covering the sides?" Elise agreed.

Lewis and Rudi arrive.............. Lewis and Rudi said, "hello." to Rosa-Su and Elise. "Hello! Lewis and Rudi. Have you seen woody?" Said Rosa-su.
They replied, "No, not this morning, but he did say last night he was calling here later."

Rudi said to Elise, While I am here I will check all the critters." Elise replied , "Thank you Rudi,
I shall help you."

Rudi Examines Foxy Lady and checks her coat. Elise checks Nanny..... "Everything is OK with the critters." Said Rudi.

Woody arrives and calls to Elise and Rosa-su......he is very excited!

"Hello Woody," say the girls.
Woody says, "I have some news for you Rosa-Su and Elise! There is much excitement at the Tavern.
John and his daughter Mary visited Lord Darnley and asked if there could be any truth about the treasure.
Lord Darnley has studied the history of his family , the grounds and the estate since he was a child
and believes there is some truth in it because generations ago Pegleg Pete Archer
(landlord of the tavern at the time) ,hid a chest in a cave at the bottom of the cliffs
and story has it Pegleg Pete hid it near to the tavern but, no one ever found it!
This, and the information Elise and Rosa-Su gave them led Jack and Mary to look for any ancient wells
in the area close to the tavern."
"Oh my," said Elise. "How exciting I do hope they find it!"
Woody replied, "I shall let you know of any further developments."

Rosa-Su asks Woody to check the shelter and asks his advice about about adding sides to it.

"I think a little more cover is needed for Winter and I shall do it very soon while the weather is fine.
I shall get the wood and do it for you, before the end of September." Said Woody.
"Thank you woody," Said Rosa-Su.

Woody tells the girls he is going to take Rudi and Lewis in the cart to help him sort out
the materials for the shelter and have a sandwich in the tavern. "See you later." they called,
and off they went.

" What are you making Elise?" said Rosa-Su. "At the moment I am sewing a button on Rudi's coat! Then I want to make some blankets and covers for Rudi,and Woody!" Rosa-Su replied, "Good idea! I think I shall make us both a winter cloak." That would be lovely." Said Elise

Rosa-Su has laid a banket on the grass to have a picnic and they have some afternoon sandwiches and cake.
Elise is still sewing.

Rudi and lewis arives in the cart.......... Rudi calls, " Come on Elise and Rosa-Su it looks like Mary and Jack have found something, We will take you to the tavern!!!!!"

The girls, rudi, lewis and dogs in cart and off they go!

"Here we are!" Said Rudi. "Lets get out!"

Rosa-Su and Elise say hello to Mary and ask what has happened. Mary started to explain what happened..... "My Dad said the barrel storage area at the back of the tavern looks as if it is sinking.
He rolled the empty barrels out of the way so he could see if there was anything he could do
then the ground gave way and a hole appeared and he fell in! Thankfully Dad is not injured.
The hole is about 4 foot deep with water at the bottom. Straight away Dad shouted.... This is a well!
Mary can you get me a torch?.......Down the hole was a rotted wooden bucket and on a ledge
just above the water level was a chest!"

Lewis and Rudi drag the heavy chest in the pub.
Because of it being on a ledge in a dry place, the chest is in very good condtition! Mary said, "I had to go and get uncle John and Woody to help us get the chest out as it is very heavy.
I then asked Rudi to bring you to the tavern to see for yourselves!"
Elise said," Thank you Mary, We are pleased to have been able to help you!"
Mary said ,"My Dad came out of the hole covered in smelly mud and is having a hot bath!"

Jack appears, nice and clean with fresh clothes on! Everyone congratulates Jack and Mary. Jack said to Elise and Rosa-Su," Thank you for telling us about the chest when you told our future.
I think now is the time to open this chest!"

Everyone looks in silence at the opened chest... Jewels, gold and silver jewellery ,silver tankards and gold coins!

Jack says, "A year ago Lord Darnley asked me if I ever wanted to buy this tavern from him
he would sell it to me. So , I shall take him up on his offer and buy it then set up a fine brewery
in the many cellars under this tavern. I shall make it from an old original recipe of my Grandfathers.
Owning this tavern has always been a dream of mine and of course I shall share everything with my lovely daughter Mary.
I have also some ideas of gifts for all my friends here.........but first of all........Drinks all round.
The ale is free this evening! I want to raise my tankard and drink a toast to Gypsy Rosa-Su and Gypsy Elise!"
"Thank you Jack! Now let us give 3 cheers to Jack and Mary!" said Elise. Hip hip Hooray shouted all in the tavern!

The evening passes quickly.............
Rosa-Su and Elise Say to John, "We are so happy we have been able to help you and Mary.
We have had a lovely time with you today and really must go now because we have our critters to feed
and settle down for the night."
John replied, "OK Rosa-Su and Elise, I understand. When I have bought this Tavern there will be a big party
and I would like both of you to come with Lewis and Rudi of course."
"Thank you we will look forward to that very much." said Elise and Rosa su.

Mary and Jack go outside to say good night to The girls, Lewis and Rudi.

Back home at the critter sanctuary , Rosa, Rudi, Elise and Lewis Feed the critters and settle them down for the night.

The girls sit and chat happily about the days events with Rudi and Lewis .Lewis says, " Well , it looks like Autumn will be as exciting as Summer was. It will be great for Jack to own the tavern. I understand his family have run the tavern for many generations." Rosa-Su Replied, "Yes , Lewis, the tavern is very ancient and goes back to the Tudor times...there are also stories of hauntings there." "How exciting, we must find out more." said Rudi. It is the end of a very busy and exciting day as they sit and watch the Sun go down on the last day of Summer.................Autumn has begun! Good night dear friends see you soon!!
