MATTI NARHI's achilles operation is successful

Javelin thrower Matti Narhi who ranked 7th in the world this season 
with 87.88 metres but who was dramatically carried out of the Seville
World final when his achilles tendon snapped, has past the first stages
of his recovery from the operation that followed reports Antti-Pekka
Sonninen.

Immediately the injury occurred Narhi believed his career might be
finished - "I don't know if I can continue my career anymore - this
is too much"! 

However, at the beginning of this week Narhi confirmed that "everything
is now going right. I will start training lightly in December and in
May I should be able to throw with full speed."
