31st JANUARY 2000 INDOOR TRIPLE JUMP RECORD FOR KILPELAINEN Over the weekend in Russia at the "Governor's Cup meet" Samara, Natalia KILPELAINEN set a new Finnish triple jump record of 14.09 metres, behind Russia's Jelena Lebedenko who leapt 14.66 for victory. Kilpelainen's mark was a 33cm improvement on her own previous national record of 13.76m set in Malmo in 1998. Result - 1) Jelena Lebedenko 14.66m 2) Inna Lasovkaja 14.25m 3) Natalia Kilpelainen (FIN) 14.09m. HELSINKI 30/01: Riina TOLONEN set a new 17 years age national record in the women's 1,500 metres. Tolonen one of a group of very promising junior girls ran a time of 4:26.5 mins, so beating Tytti Reho's 1994 mark of 4:28.65.
