Getting to Gambia from: |
Getting to Gambia Getting to The Gambia from Europe is so simple during the main tourist season, November - April. Charter flights are available from most European countries. Most travel agents would have details of flights and package deals. For cheap flights from UK try - http://www.airflights.co.uk/ All year round, "The Gambia Experience" is strongly recommended for travellers from the UK. This company was the only UK travel operator to ignore the British government's unwise advise for operators to cease going to The Gambia, for the whole of the winter season, following the 1994 coup. I was there along with my wife during November - December and the country was as peaceful as ever. Sadly, it was a very difficult time for all those Gambians who rely on the tourist trade for their income. The Gambia Experience have an excellent web site - Well worth a visit. "The
