A group of us have just finished the Disciple course part of which was to write a personal version of what Christians believe. Here are two of the creeds:-
We believe that we will be put right with God through faith, and have peace with God through our faith in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins. There are people answering this kind of question on the web full time, so for more detailed or structured answers why not have a look at the following pages:-
We accept that we were born sinners but we can be forgiven through God's free gift of grace.
We live in hope of everlasting life in union with God through Jesus Christ.
We acknowledge that God is the Creator of all things and we give God the glory for ever.
We believe in God, who is righteous, merciful and our over-all boss. We therefore have to appreciate his many blessings, by not criticising each other but helping the weak and feeble. We should utilise the gifts we are blessed with and not hoard them.We are sinners and so we should try to emulate Christ our Lord by loving one another genuinely, so as to be absolved.
