(343) GJW43N was a Leyland Leopard with Marshall dual-purpose bodywork regularly used on the 118 service to Swadlincote. Photographed here at Glenfield in November 1991.
(354) GOH354N is another of the original Midland Red dual purpose Leopards. Even in the eighties these vehicles still found there way to the Coast on summer saturdays.
(719) AJF719T was originally numbered 6719 when it came to the Midlands from Devon General in 1983 and had reclining seats and an "Overdrive" rear axle so spent much of it's early years on coach work before being relegated to dual purpose work at which time it donated it's rear axle to coach No.71.
(780) BVP780V started life working for Midland Red Express in 1980 and came to Leicestershire with sister vehicle 779 in 1982 and was initally used on National Express work before moving on to Private Hire and occasional express work. It managed ten years with the company
(785) BVP785V was one of a large batch delivered to Midland Red in 1980. This vehicle came to Midland Red East when new in June 1980 and spent nearly 20 years with the company and was still getting out and about when pictured at wembley during the late 90's.
(785) another shot of 785 this time in Leicester a bit closer to home. 784/5 were used mainly in a dual purpose role whereas 779/80 were used mainly as coaches.

(798) BVP798V is one of five Willowbrook bodied Leyland Leopard's that were delivered in 1980 for Express work though they could also be found on trips to the coast at weekends and spent 10 years mostly pounding up and down the M69. In 1990 798 was one of three transferred to the new Fairtax Foxhound base at Melton and is seen here in Leicester city centre in December 1993 with the Midland Fox fleetname on a Fairtax livery.
(836) LOA836X was part of a batch of eight aquired from Midland Red Express when only four years old in 1986 and joined five similar vehicles brought new.

(837) LOA837X is a Leyland Leopard with loacaly built Willowbrook body, in Foxhound livery Seen here leaving Notttingham in June 1989 on service 99 where it was a regular performer.
(837) LOA837X seen here a few years later having gained Foxhound livery was for many years the odd man out being based at Coalville whilst the rest were at Southgates.
(839) LOA839X was the last survivor of this batch of Willowbrook bodied Leopards and when pictured at Wembley in 1997 it was based at stamford and had gained bus livery and a modified front end.

(841) LOA841X was being used by the Loughborough Coach & Bus subsidiary when seen in Leicester in February 1990 ready for it's run to Derby. This was one of only two coaches to gain the Green livery.
(844) LOA844X and the rest of its type were the mainstay of the express fleet for many years and could mainly be found on the M69 heading towards Birmingham/Stratford & Coventry and very often got to the coast at the weekends.
