Here is a shot of three former Dominators that left Leicester to work in the capital and have now found their way to former Crosville teritory.


(18) BUT18Y is a Leyland Tiger with Plaxton Paramount bodywork that was transferred to Northampton after spending 14 years in the Leicester Fleet. It returned to Leicester a couple of years later to work for MBC coaches.



(24) BUT24Y is a rare Dennis Dorchester with Plaxton Paramount bodywork that had a very brief career in Leicester before being sold with the rest of it's batch to Kingston-upon-Hull in 1985.

(86) B86MRY was one of three Dominators built for South Yorkshire but delivered to Leicester instead, However they did eventually get to Yorkshire albeit 16 years late !.

(94) A94 FRY is a Dennis Falcon with Duple Dominant bodywork and was sold to Thamesdown with it's sisters in 1987 and is seen here in Swindon in October 1995.

(100) C100UBC is a Dennis Dominator with East Lancs body, one of four new to Leicester Citybus in 1986 but sold to Warrington when only three years old and is seen here in Warrington in August 1989 not long after transfer.

(102) C102UBC was another Dennis Dominator with East Lancs body to move on to Warrington, where it is again seen in August 1989.

(110) C110UBC was one of four Scania N112's brought in 1986 for evaluation against Dominators. No others followed ond the four were always non standard until sold to Brighton & Hove three years later all of which survived into 2001. Seen here in February 1992 in Western Road, Brighton.

(111) C111UBC was in more or less original condition (though had gained an Electronic Destination display) when Photographed by the Clock Tower in Brighton in April 1989 not long after arriving from Leicester.

(112) C112UBC In their later years, the ex-Leicester Scanias were modified by Brighton & Hove to be more standardised with their large native fleet of similar vehicles. In particular, the front grille and Windscreen area was totally changed as seen in this photograph of C112 UBC arriving in Brighton on one of the country routes in July 1998.

(113) C113UBC Seen In May 1996, Brighton & Hove's ex Leicester Scania C113 UBC was photographed at Palmeira Square, Hove. During their short life with Leicester all were fitted with Coach seating for a time for use on private hires and the X47 service to Peterborough but regained bus seats prior to transfer to Brighton.

(113) PBC 113G is a Leyland Atlantean with Park Royal bodywork and is seen here in Swansea with Rees & Williams in June 1992.

(140) F140 MBC is a Dennis Dominator with East Lancs bodywork and was sold to Capital Citybus of East London just before this photograph was taken in Romford in September 1996. In 2000 it moved again and is now with First PMT.

(148) F148 MBC was one of seven Dennis Dominator's sold in 1996 to Capital Citybus for their services in East London where it is seen in Romford in September 1997. Though the following year four identical vehicles were purchased by Leicester from North Western.

(345) R345 SUT is a Scania L113 with Wright bodywork that had only a short life with First Leicester, It was first sold to Eastern Counties with who it had an even shorter career before moving again this time to Glasgow where it is seen in March 2000.

(401) F50 ENF a Leyland Tiger with unusual Alexander N bodywork went to First SMT (now renamed First Edinburgh) in 1998 although it had been new to Timeline (Shearings) in Manchester. Seen here in Edinburgh in June 1999.

(403) G53 RND was another of the ex Timeline Alexander N bodied Tigers acquired by Leicester Citybus and was also sold on to First Edinburgh and is seen here in Edinburgh in March 2000.
