A backing plate fitted to each wheel supports the wheel trim. Either two opposite original wheel nuts or three in the case of a five hole wheel secures the backing plate to the wheel, Special discrete plastic screw fixings then secure the trim to the backing plate and are tightened using a special fitting key.

FITTING
INSTRUCTIONS PLEASE
READ IN FULL BEFORE COMMENCING FITTING
TIME 15 TO 20 MINUTES (INEXPERIENCED PERSON) Method
on a 4-hole wheel, remove two wheel nuts opposite each other and replace
them with the backing plate against the wheel. On a 5-hole wheel, use
two adjacent wheel nuts and the one opposite them. There is no need to
jack up the wheel. Ensure that the wheel nuts are tightened to the
recommended torque settings. (see manufacturers handbook) When
selecting which nuts to remove, first offer the backing plate and trim
to the wheel to ensure that the tyre valve is accessible. Fit the wheel trim to the two
remaining holes on the backing plate by means of discrete plastic
screw-fixings. Three different sizes are included in each kit, select
the correct size for you vehicle, starting with the smallest, tighten
the screw-fixings evenly using the fitting key. If the tyre valve is obscured
by the trim, rotate the backing plate 90 degrees for a 4 hole wheel or
72 degrees for a 5 hole wheel. RE-TIGHTEN THE WHEEL NUTS AFTER 60 MILES. All the above instructions plus other tips are clearly printed on the box containing trims and fixings.
