Account of a visit to Talybont

Visit to Talybont and the flooding.
Talybont was a very quiet place and the water was relaxed and calm. But a few years ago a flood started and the water in the canal took all the earth or stones with it.
It was a tragic incident. There was so much mud and stones, it was more than a car wheel deep. Also the water made a very big hole in the side of the canal. It all took a week to clean up because it was around the town. The mud was so deep that they had to use a JCB to dig it all up.
It even got to the pub and went in. When vicar went to certain places like the houses alongside the canal and the pub he showed usd what they use to look like and what they look like now.
