Saturday October 20th.
7.00 Up and about, but all was silent so I walked the dog and lazed about for a bit rather than wake up the rest of the sleeping boats.
7.30 Silently shafted the boat out of the marina before starting the engine outside in the canal, then moved off up towards Calcutt.
We passed Haversham, Ownerships, just setting out and we eventually shared Calcutt locks.
9.30 Through Napton, but then caught up with a line of boats doing about 2 mph all the way to Braunston turn.

11.15 Moored up at Braunston stop house for water and for the family to walk up to the shop at the bottom lock. Passed a work boat loaded with cable drums moored up
12.15 Water finished, fire lit and dinner started we moved off.
At first lock waited for a Viking Hire boat, Erik and then worked up the flight with them.
1.45 Moored just after locks for lunch next to Rowington, Ownerships.
3.00 Moved on after lunch, took half an hour to go through the tunnel, passing six boats in the tunnel.
Then straight on down Buckby Locks.
6.15 Moored just after Bridge 22. Put up chimney and lost new collie hat
into the canal.
