Friday 23rd August. Time - 2.25 hours Locks 3 Miles 5
6.15 a.m. Moved off, Quiet, cool and spotting with rain.
7.15 a.m. Moored just above Calcutt locks to clear up the boat and pack.
8.00
a.m. Off down Calcutt locks. All set against us, and no other traffic to work
them with us, but out of the bottom lock by 8.20 a.m./ !!
Below the bottom lock passed Chaulden from Ownerships moored presumably packing. Then passed the first boat on the move of the day. A Calcutt boat heading for home.
9.15 a.m. Arrived at Blue Lias to pump out, fill with diesel. We then unloaded the boat and I backed her into a space at the furthest end of the moorings and closed her up.
11.00 a.m. We set off for home in the car.
