On the canal with the Reed Family.

By travelling an average of seven and a half hours a day, and starting early in the morning when the canal was at it's best, starting from Blue Lias mariana near Rugby we visited Stratford on Avon, Birmingham, Fradley Junction., and Coventry. Travelling a total of 179 miles, through 191 locks and moving for 100 hours in our 13 full days and two bits.

Friday 10th August
Blue Lias Marina to Calcutt Locks.

Saturday 11th August
Calcutt Locks to Warwick on the Grand Union.

Sunday 12th August
Warwick on the Grand Union, via Lapworth to Lowsonford on the Stratford Upon Avon Canal.

Monday 13th August
Lowsonford to Wilmcote locks on the Stratford upon Avon canal.

Tuesday 14th August
Wilmcote locks to Bancroft Basin and back to Wilmcote Locks on the Stratford upon Avon canal.

Wednesday 15th August
Wilmcote locks to Lowsonford on the Stratford upon Avon canal.

Thursday 16th August
Lowsonford to Earlswood Motor Yatch Club on the Stratford upon Avon canal.

Friday 17th August
Earlswood Motor Yatch club, via Kings Norton, Gas Street Basin, Farmers Bridge and Spaghetti Junction to Curdworth on the Birmingham and Fazely canal.

Saturday 18th August
Curdworth via Fazely Junction to top end of Coventry canal.

Sunday 19th August

To Fradely Junction then back down the Coventry via Fazely Junction to just East of Tamworth on the Coventry.

Monday 20th August
Along the Coventry to just East of Atherstone.

Tuesday 21st August
Via Hawkesbury Junction to Coventry Basin and back to Hawkesbury Junction.

Wednesday 22nd August
Hawkesbury Junction to Just East of Hillmorton Locks on the Northern Oxford.

Thursday 23rd August
Hillmorton Locks via Braunston and Napton Junction onto the Grand Union to Blue Lias and back to Calcutt Locks.

Friday 24th August
Calcutt Locks to Blue Lias.
