Ethiopia info
North-west Ethiopia is one of the Country's richest regions for culture, history and natural beauty. The medieval city of Gondar, with more castles than in any other city in Africa, the special enchantment of Lake Tana, the breathtaking Simien Mountains (Ras Dasheen 4543m is Ethiopia's highest peak), and the glory of Tissisat, the Blue Nile Falls ( near Bahar dar); this is Ethiopia at its most sensational. In Lalibela ther are monolithic churches that have been scraped out of a single block of stone into the ground. The Mago National Park on the Omo river has herds of buffalo, giraffe, elephants and kudu, while sometimes it is possible to find lions, leopards and Burchell’s zebra.
