BIOGRAPHY

Marcus Ford will also be best known for his work with vocalist Niki King winner of the Perrier Award Young Musician Awards. His driving rhythm playing has seen him team up with a number of jazz ensembles however he is equally happy in an intimate duo setting providing a luxurious and self contained sound which is his trademark. His influences include guitarists Baden Powell, Gene Bertoncini, Ike Isaacs and Martin Taylor. Apearances include Shetland Folk Festival, Moods Jazz Club Zurich, Berlin Centre, Germany and live broadcasts for BBC Radio 3 and BBC Radio Scotland. Most recently he has returned from China performing with vocalist Alison Burns.
