Toolbox

The Toolbox allows you to launch any PCStage tool.

Tool windows offer additional facilities, and operate independently of the main window. They can be left open in the fully visible or minimised state without affecting the use of the main window or other tool windows.

They have a full set of title bar buttons, an icon and and a labelled Close button. Many tool windows can be resized to adjust the amount of visible information.

Many tools are editors; they enable you to manipulate some aspect of the production which is not shown in the main window. For example, the Chaser Editor allows you to create and modify chaser sequences.

An editor tool always contains its own local copy of whatever is being edited, which is separate from the main data in actual use by PCStage.

All editors have a Revert button which discards any changes made in the editor and copies the main data to the local data. Conversely, the Apply button copies the local data to the main data, so that the editor changes take effect in PCStage.

When an editor tool is closed its local data is not lost; if the editor is re-opened its contents will be as before. If editors contain unsaved changes when you exit PCStage those changes will be lost.
