PCStage offers the ability to play more than one wave file (a sound sample file with .wav
or mp3 extension) simultaneously.
Up to four tracks may be used, and manual monitoring and control of each track is possible using the Audio Control tool (opened from the Tools menu).
Any sound card supported by DirectSound may be used – a standard 16-bit SoundBlaster or clone is quite adequate.
Although this tool need not be open for multi-track audio to function, it enables you to see exactly what is happening and take manual control of any track if necessary. It may be opened or closed at any time without affecting audio performance.
