Thought you might like to know that we will be heading to Europe late April. In fact, we just finished shooting a video for Gramarye that will be released there soon. We open for Blur tonight in New York and again in LA on Thursday. Keep spreading the RZ word and we will see you soon.

rzpromo.bmp (1483562 bytes) Whirlpool 4, April 1999... this cd burrows under your skin and after a few plays can very possibly affect you like this: one song in and this doesn't sound like a debut album by an unknown band, this is megastar. two songs in, "what the..." they are brilliant!, three songs in and they sound international, four songs in and how come they have the song writing sensibilities of the kinks, radiohead, blur, mansun, u2, the manics, rem, nirvana and many more guitar greats yet sound unique, five songs - devotion, six songs in, blubbering joy, eight songs and still fantastic with no formula, nine : pledge allegiance, ten - can not miss them live, eleven songs and this is THE american band wow! not really a review - can't write, CAN HEAR

rocklands : one to ask is if you have been over this side of the pond before? are you gonna be spending some time or is it a whirlwind visit?
remy zero : some of us have been to london.we mixed the record there with the great alan moulder,for a week between 2 and 6 am. at rak studio.we can`t wait to come back,as i left my wallet there. unfortunately it will be only for a few days.we`ll be back after the cd comes out there.
rocklands : does remy zero have any compulsive obsessions?
remy zero : cinjun cannot use a payphone,cedric is disfunctional around scientologists,jefferey is terrified of cats (though he has
two), gregory will only record on fresh tape,and i am a sex addict.
alas,we`re a band of freaks and folly.it`s a wonder we get anything
done. but we like it that way. hope to talk soon, s

from Lina... "I have a Remy Zero story for you that you may enjoy, well it's not really a story, but I'm assuming you have their album Villa Elaine.

Well the cover of that album is of the actual Villa Elaine where Remy Zero lived when they moved here to L.A., and it's actually where I currently live! So, imagine my surprise when I walk into Tower Records and see my building on the cover of a CD, that's how I originally found out about them.

Then there was the day that I had made up my mind to finally do my laundry, only to get home from work to find my laundry room blocked by a bunch of equipment. Needless to say, Remy Zero were blocking my way filming their video for their single. I was very mad at them because they ruined my laundry plans, but then I finally caught them live (besides hearing them do the song over and over for the video), when they opened for Blur a couple of months ago, and I thought they were really good as well".
