Self opinion collage rantzine! Whirlpool, Welcome!

susanb.jpg (5510 bytes) Whirlpool on line from nov 98... popular music has progressed from acoustic to electric to technical and is a WHIRLPOOL of all three multiplied by disco, reggae, rock, soul, glam, folk, swing, pop, jazz, hip hop, classical, blues, metal, progressive, country, drum’n’bass, folk, rap, punk, world music and more. . . rock has dance rhythms/dance has rock riffs, - sometimes... ("Whirlpool" is the title of the first album by Dr.Phibes And The House Of Wax Equations - one of the first 21st century bands). The "rules" that started the 90s don't count any more. This rantzine is contributions from everywhere, fuelled by an obsessive love of modern music to the point of daydreaming that it could save and unite the world. The apathy and derision which such a day dream would draw from some quarters is only a further inspiration.

Never Mind The Ballots (pop and politics), Mansun, Psychedelia, Garbage, Colour Free Music, Kula Shaker, Manic Street Preachers, The Wannadies, Pop 2000.
