The Venue, Nu X Rd SE14 http://www.venue.cjb.net currently residing on Planet Earth. Tribute bands play every week now, but this was an essential place during Britpop plus it used to be where NME put on their hottest "On" bands for the year, plus The Bluetones, PJ Harvey, Cornershop, Oasis, Carter USM, Radiohead, Suede, Back To The Planet Shed 7, Teenage Fan Club,   The Catherine Wheel and Radiohead are among bands that have played their own original music on it's stage.
