| Dec-002: What a year for Radiohead,
great new songs, and excellent live shows. And winning more awards in a year without
releases - things have come right for Oxford's Fab Five respect wise. Roll on 003,
Radiohead are definitely on the playing class vibe of Planet Water people... |
15/08/002 : San Sebastian and Salamanca gigs were a life affirming
experience. Look out for the Radiohead net video currently in production by, for and about
Radiohead fans which the band supported on tour. Jonny, on the Planet Water vibe - we are
playing class! Share the joy! click here for The Tourist,
sorta diary cum report from the dates...

April 002: "They're
calling them 'the new Radiohead' which is fine as Radiohead can't be arsed to be Radiohead
any more". (some journalist from Loaded talking about The Doves on UK
TV Channel 5) - Shows what "they" know, I say. Considering that
"They" (i.e. UK media sheep) called Oasis 'the new Beatles' it doesn't say much
for The Doves (whose latest single is actually pure Stone Roses!). Bands like
Radiohead, Super Furry Animals, Mansun and The Beta Band are among better
candidates for 'the new Beatles' as they actually CAN create songs of every type of
music... |

| 2002, a decade after The Drill EP -
who would have guessed what would happen over the years after it's release? Radiohead
are an essential part of the turn-of-century soundtrack. They are an unusual
bunch of musicians to be a household name alongside celebrities, the establishment's
modern royalty. They are something else, part of the commonist 21c punk attitude that
"the mould" can't shape. Rocklands Evening Star
has memories of adventures from the end of the Kid A / Amnesiac
world tour... |

Picture collectors help yourself to pix (incl Radiohead). Also reports

Q: The
arts have always expressed the salt-of-the-earth's version of life, the universe,
everything and nothing... do you feel radiohead's simplicity is over-scrutinsed as being
some kind of sinister, political marketing plan and any plans to do a u turn (musically,
in the media) in the future to make life easier for yourselves in the public eye? (p.s.
personally hope not, i like you evolving and like being continually surprised but
musicians have been worn down in the past...) ARTS NOT ARMS! (the old wife)
A: if it was so well thought out and planned it
would be shite and none of us would have bothered. i would love to make my life easier in
the public eye, maybe then i would nt get these pains in my stomach and be short of breath
and wake in the middle of the night with these fucked up thoughts going through my head.
and maybe evrybody gets worn down in the end. amd there is nothing the british like better
than sticking the knife in. its infectious. we all have it. proffesional lifestyle opinion demographic tail chasing bullshit. tchocky:)

the 1st question sent to Spin With A Grin..
rocklands: any plans to exhibit radiohead visuals (art, blips
etc)?
radiohead: any plans to exhibit? i dont think so. it feels uncomfortable to be
in a big white room with these images. they are born out of chaos and thaTS where they
should stay.
