Twenty one quality soundtracks are released as the first compilation by P.O.L.E. Club as a download or limited CD (POLECD001). This collection is a cup brimming over with a whirl of Alternative but Accessible Newer Wave Classic TUNES. Some are favourites from rock's DIY underground network, some are brand new songs and exclusives, some of the artists are completely new names to the unsuspecting public in general. All are contenders. Presenting THE WHIRLED CUP (of pop). Alongside great song crafting talents, all the artists involved are incisively articulate, have earned followings, have colourful stories and come highly recommended live. This is not exactly a concept LP, yet everybody on here is woven into a definitive rock'n'roll tale of the 21st Century's first decade. P.O.L.E. BAND INFO / LINKS & ALBUM INFO : ONCE UPON ANOTHER TIME FORUM. once upon another time (april year 003), an accidental art experiment in a mix of star struck daydreams and 21st century socialism (pop of the tops club at the paradise bar) spawned a rock n roll republic (rocklands, just opposite docklands) in a parallel dimension (on land/in cyberspace where there is no geography, hence there being playing class friends world wide via the net) to planet earth. on this dimension, planet water, life imitated the art. friends and bands joined together. via their imaginations and willingness to help each other, created a not-for-profit disorgansation (music tourist board) for, by and about music. it's mission; to wage peace, music and unity by any fun and lovely means necessary. they (literally) came from paradise, but this was all possibly too romantic for the armageddon tits-n-war age, in theory it shouldn't work. in reality, it's blossomed, artfully its as if the words "punk" amd "organic" hadnt become meaningless through over-use. inspired by what has happened since, here is an album for anybody that still believes revolution means turning around. when paradise was lost ("cbgbs of se14" was shut down in summer 004), there were too many genres, opinions, tastes from so many different 'crowds' to be anything but an anti-scene. it would be boring otherwise. it had never about the same clothes, hair and associates etc and it never will be. everybody is making their own story. music tourist board is no corporate umbrella organisation, it's a vibe. the beauty of this chaos is that individuals have created their own unique brands n styles. so instead of dying off after 15 minues of fame, anti scene ideas are spreading like ripples from a pond because so many people are chapters of this tale. in year 006, diy is almost main stream via with even corporate mass media stage guerilla style gigs (tho doing it yourself for your people still has that extra edge, heart and soul). Enjoy! choons-n-hooks guitars, thoughtful lyrics. originality and attitude laced charisma. a newer wave of tart rock twisted pop anthems from artistic forces worthy of attention.
