| Rocklands Tourist Board, South
Bank daydreams The music life
community are not taken very seriously by the establishment. Nokia gave 44 possible
"interests" to join their Nokia club. Not one of them was "Live Music
Events". Im not joining Nokia Club, its not rock and roll.
As for the digital TV pacakages, they cater for
sports fans so are no alternative to the TV channels that move the soaps around so much
that you cant find them instead of giving them a dependable, regular time spot.
Im a music fan, but there are no packages for us so Im not getting that
either. I would like to submit a list of channels that I want and see how much it would
cost to get them.
Music Life is an alternative way of seeing the world
and from what I have seen of the last century, the most positive due to to musics
ability to affect our mood and emotions. Faiths have known of this power for thousands of
years... Music is on the wavelength of a nature which our faiths worship, but we
dont. No wonder stress etc therapy is such big business.
Even the Royal Family ackowledge the importance of
the music life to this country in their celebrations, perhaps the establishment could
loosen their stuffy ties a bit and join in too...
Music Life Tourism is a new spin on just looking at
old buildings and buying tack. This would be about celebrating love, peace, unity,
freedom, justice, diversity, creativity, nature. It would be about sharing the joy.
High profile should be given to the original
Festival Of Britain. The uncynical hope and positivity could be repeated as a fresh new
start. |
