of Dodgy was born here. A network of bands and venues (i.e. Edwards,
Flapper&Firkin), but no medium size (i.e. 2000) that is a regular name on the tour
posters, so more up n coming stars play Wolverhampton Civic.
One of Brum's most famous sons, Ozzy, was born John
Osbourne on 3 December 1948 in Aston. He left the hugely influential Black Sabbath
in 1979. Brits abroad eh? In 1982 when he was treated for rabies after biting the
head off a bat, the same year he was banned from San Antonio for pissing on a monument.
This man has dueted with Miss Piggy on The Muppet Show singing "Born To Be Wild"
(and also with boxer Frank Bruno!). Ozzmosis (1995) is his most acclaimed
and successful solo album. His wife Sharon helped him overcome his alcoholism and manages
him, aside from the massive Ozzfest event, the Osbourne Family are as well known as The
Simpsons due to their TV series.

Bury St Edmunds
- "I went to County Upper School in Bury St
Edmunds and hated it. I struggled with my work and as a result the teachers treated me
like I was scum. I used to collapse in the corridors with massive panic attacks and they'd
walk past, not caring, because I wasn't going to get straight As and get my picture in the
local paper and do wonders for the image of the school. I was best at English and Drama
and French, and worst at Maths, Science and German. My German teacher looked like a horse,
which explains my being distracted. And we used to take the putty out of the windows and
make little men and horses out of them during his lesson, while he was busy cantering
round the classroom".

a communication, sept 000:
"You may not be aware
of another victim of the Hillsborough tragedy; a teacher Alan Corkish who was unfairly
dismissed by the Liverpool City Council on trumped up charges. Councillors Dean, Scott,
Lafferty and others, and the now (thankfully) ex-Head teacher Ged McKean sought to use the
Hillsborough tragedy for their own ends. Alan Corkish is my name; I am the sacked teacher,
and I'm fighting back now. For further information email me or see http://www.zyworld.com/CharlesCooper/MainPage.htm where I openly invite the Liverpool Councillors to
sue me for stating that they abused the Hillsborough tragedy for their own political
ends".
