DIRTY SOUNDS CLUB, Infinity, 10 Burlington St, London Wtransport) Metro Riots "fully intent on giving the garage punk scene a good kick up the jacksie and sending it back to New Zealand or NYC or wherever. And stuff. No, seriously, they fucking rock". (Drowned In Sound) "though cold outside the overdressed inhabitants of this rammed venue are ready for a Saturday afternoon of sweaty punk rock entertainment. And boy do we get it with the Metro Riots. Grade A Garage Rock (Sounds XP) www.metroriots.com/ Crash Convention "You know I don't think these guys realise how how fucking awesome they are, I really don't It's Scary" (Tim Perry) www.crashconvention.com/ Corporation:Blend "a band destined for greatness" (CMU) www.corporationblend.com/ Straight outta New Cross, Dirty Sounds (Mulka, Lenny Love) and many friends are responsible for much of the shenanigans and DIY revolution helping to put South London on the international music map via the infamous Pop Of The Tops and it's pro-active bands. The club unleashed a whole new set of get-up-and-have-a-go rock DJs (mainly band members) on an unsuspecting public- now to be found at the gigs and clubs where The Underground gather. Increasingly in demand Dirty Sounds are recently at/with Herbal, Greenwich Pirate, The Barfly (Queens Of Noize), and were at the core of the chaos that was Babyshambles at Turnmills last month. Look out for them on records sleeves and in the videos of some of the hottest coolest bands in the country, soon, too! The madness came to Infinity. Watch this space. They'll be back.email Dirty Sounds | |||
