brazilian portuguese : português brasileiro
why brazilian portuguese?

The differences between Brazilian and European Portuguese are similar to those between American and British English. If you learn one you will be able to understand the other most of the time.

We are specialists in Brazilian Portuguese, but we also have teachers from Portugal on our team.

As with the US and the UK, there are wide cultural differences between Brazil and Portugal. Since your language course is also designed to teach you about the cultural background, you should choose either a Brazilian or a Portuguese teacher according to your own needs and interests.

Like all countries, Brazil and Portugal have regional variations of accent. If you would like a teacher from a particular area – for example because you are going to live there – we will do our best to provide one for you.

Note that if your interest relates to the African Portuguese-speaking countries (Mozambique, Angola, the Cape Verde Islands), you should opt for a teacher from Portugal.
