A magnificent steam winding engine, now electrically driven, an underground simulated mining gallery and a fascinating collection of mining tools and equipment are the highlights of this museum housed in the original buildings of the former Cefn Coed Colliery.

Opening Times April - September daily 10.30am - 6.00pm; other periods daily 10.30am - 4.00pm. (Closed Christmas Day to 1st January) last admission 45 minutes before closing time.

Admission Adults Ł1.25: Children/OAP 80p (under 5's free): Special rates for pre-booked parties

Location Near Crynant, 5 miles north of neath on the A4109.
