Helen Silverlock is an artist working in film, video, photography and site
specific installation. She works in London and Sussex, has a studio at The Recycled House in Camber and is a member of South Coast Artists (SOCO). Helen also works on interior design, garden desigh and eco-renovation projects as part of Occupied Space Bankside. Previously she was a partner in Video Art Bankside, a production
company working with artists, film makers and not-for-profit organisations.

Centres Federation, exploring the impact of the 2003 Sexual Orientation Discrimination
legislation, distributed nationally through Law Centres, Citizens Advice Bureaux
and LGBT organisations
2004/5 “LILIAN BAYLIS
JOURNEYS”
Collaborative project working with students at. LIlian Baylis Technology School
in Lambeth, involving documentation of the journeys made by students from their
countries of origin to London, exploring their experiences of integration in
a strange culture. Students were introduced to techniques such as sound recording,
lighting and blue screen shooting which were then developed within the media
curriculum.
2003/4 “CROSSCUTS”
Commission for Canterbury City Council in collaboration with community groups,
a series of video works for opening of new Horsebridge Arts Centre, Whitstable
including drama, animation and bluescreen projects and a choreographed fencing
duel in Canterbury Cathedral.
