Part of UBS Openings: The Long Weekend The first ever Flux-Olympiad was presented at Tate Modern, programmed by Fluxus artist Larry MIller. Founding Fluxus artist George Maciunas conceived the idea of a Flux-Olympiad in the 1960's but the idea was not realised until 2008. As well as flux-sports the Flux-Olympiad included three days of performances featuring Fluxus artists Alison Knowles, Willem de Ridder and Sarah Seagull, and performance artist and drag king Diane Torr. It was compered by Simon Anderson of the Art Institute of Chicago. Helen participated in many of the performances over the three days, including works by Ben Vautier, Yoko Ono, George Maciunas and Nam June Paik.
