Old Home/SuperHome Spring open days back to homepage

Last September we opened for four days as part of "Old Home/SuperHome" in conjunction with English Heritage Open Days. We are opening again for four days in late March/early April 2011 as part of the Old Home/SuperHome open days programme, this time in conjunction with the Great British Refurb campaign.

Our dates and times are Tuesday 29th March 3pm-8pm, Wednesday 30th March 3pm-8pm, Saturday 2nd April 11am-4pm and Sunday 3rd April 11am-4pm. No booking is necessary.

Old Home Superhome is a collaboration between two charities, the National Energy Foundation and the Sustainable Energy Academy. NEF assists organisations, individuals and communities to reduce their carbon emissions and save money through providing advice and services in renewable energy, energy efficiency and sustainable energy training.

The Sustainable Energy Academy promotes education and action to reduce the carbon footprint of buildings and communities, and is currently spearheading Old Home SuperHome - a network of exemplar old dwellings which have undergone an energy-efficiency retrofit. The aim is to create a network of homes that are local and publicly accessible, within 15 minutes, to nearly everyone in the country.
