The Recycled House is a project which we have wanted to do for some time, having a long term interest in green issues. We welcome contacts from anyone else who is undertaking an eco-development, or is interested in more information about what we are doing. |

Helen is an artist, working mainly in film, video, photography and installation. She has a BA Hons in Fine Art from Goldsmiths College, and an MA in Gender, Society and Culture from Birkbeck College, University of London. |

After a first career in information technology John set up Video Art Bankside in partnership with Helen, a video production company working for artists, art galleries, charities, schools and other not-for-profit organisations from 1997 to 2007. He now works with Helen on design and building projects as Occupied Space. |

John and Helen run Occupied Space, an interior design and projects partnership which has carried out a variety of commissions ranging from kitchens and bathrooms, through garden design to shell apartment fit-out (pictured right). The Recycled House is our first eco-project and we hope it will provide experience and a template for similar future projects. |
