British Railway Photographs

These are samples from my large collection of railway photographs from my 'home' country, from which I have selected four from each year from 1972 to the present. For each year I have tried to choose photographs which I believe are representative of the era, thus providing a record of how the the railways in Britain have changed over the past 30 years or so.  The earlier photographs have a geographical bias towards the Lancaster area where I grew up.
