SOME BLACKLOCK ENTRIES IN
THE WALTON CHURCH OF ENGLAND PARISH REGISTER

The
following references to the name Blacklock have been
extracted from the Walton Parish Register. The reader
should note that some of the early records are difficult
to read and I am providing here my best interpretation of
what is written.
The
register is a combined volume of baptisms, marriages and
burials from the year 1684. There is a separate section
within the register for later burials.
My
interest in the Parish of Walton is with regard to John
Blaicklock baptized on 23rd June 1771 and many Blacklock
entries after this date have been omitted.
The
information provided here is for guidance only and I
would strongly advise researchers with an interest in the
Parish of Walton to examine the register themselves.
So
far as I am aware the Walton Parish Register is not
included in the IGI.
