This is an outstanding breakthrough for sound effects enhancement in our games. You have probably heard of the Dolby SurroundTM sound system, where five speakers are situated around you in a room to create the effect of sound coming from all around you. Our system recreates the surround sound effect from just two speakers! Manufacturers are marketing equipment to achieve the same effect for 50 pounds! Try it out below - click on the left picture to hear the original sound, then click on the picture to the right to hear the Virtual Surround version!!
All that you need to enjoy the Virtual Surround technology is a stereo soundcard (for example a SoundBlaster Pro) and one of our games that supports Virtual Surround. At the current time, this means either game from the Enemy Assault series (although the original Enemy Assault doesn't use it much), but look out for more games featuring this technology coming from us soon!
How do I know which games utilise Virtual Surround Sound Technology?
Just go to the download section and click on a game. You will be taken to an information page for that game. Just look out for the Virtual Surround logo which is shown near the top of this page!
What other features make your games special?
All of our games feature 256 colour SVGA graphics as standard, and our newer games also have a 32,000 colour option to make the graphics look incredibly real. Most, if not all, of our games also have photo-realistic graphics, as we have taken snapshots of famous locations with a normal camera and imported them into the games via Kodak PhotoCD. Panic keys are incorporated into most of our games - upon pressing F5, all traces of the game are removed from the screen - great for when the boss walks in! Sampled speech is also frequently featured in our games.
