Having picked up the A&L Metals Transform Car Lambor with flame paintwork, I couldn't think what to do with him initially. It really is very badly made (I also picked up a flame-decorated Dead End, which already has a broken shoulder), and not even as posable as the official Takara version, thanks to incorrect molding of the ankles. Nevertheless, a quick search of old TransFormers revealed that one of the Robots In Disguise Spychangers, Hot Shot, had a similar look to his car mode, So I added some paint of my own with him in mind.


The main problem with the flame paintjob on the Dodge Viper model is that it's all but invisible in robot mode using the intended transformation.
Thankfully, with the 'trunk mod', the flames at the rear of the car become flames on the robot's chest, just like Spychanger Hot Shot.
Also, with the misassembly of the shoulders, the doors can only go back or out to the sides, as shown. This gives Hot Shot a kind of 'Flaming Wings' look.
From behind, it now appears that he has a 'flaming tail'. Bearing in mind that the upper body shown here would be the robot's chest using the intended
transformation, it's very clear how plain the robot would be without this modification!
