Black female R&B singer Jamelia, Jamelia Davis, is one of those female singers, like Kylie and Madonna, who can get by on first name only.

My first and only contact with Jamelia, was at the inaugural launch of Make Poverty History in Trafalgar Square. Also there were Bob Geldof and Nelson Mandela.

Jamelia sang one song, 'Stop'. It was great, she was probably miming, but it was still great nevertheless.

Albums to date: Drama (2000), Thank You (2003).
