Building sequence for Mouse

Before you start, please take a good look at stitch and tape (aka tack and tape) primer. A good one is Jacques Mertens tutor.

Now you've read a primer and know how this process is going to work, mark and cut out sides, remembering to mark where the frames are to fit - it's easy to do - just draw a line connecting the coordinates you have plotted on the side chines.
Mark and cut out the frames and the bows and stern transoms, and fasten and glue laths of wood across the top of each transom and frame. Stitch sides (chine 2s) to frames using cable ties, making sure that the laths face into the bouyancy areas.
Then stitch bottoms (chine 1s) to the sides and to bows and stern transoms. You may prefer to leave the 'zip' bit of the cable ties on the outside of the hull, in which case, you'll be best taping the interior seams first; however, if you find this difficult, tie so that the zips are on the outside and go on to do the interior gussets first.

Making sure the structure is true (by measuring the diagonals, by placing a temporary strut between the sides so that they are vertical, and by turning over to set), tape and glue outside; when set, cut the ties on the inside and gusset the inside seams, and add the gunwales.

Fasten and glue straps to the upper edges of the frames.

Then use the boat itself to mark out the shape for the decks on your remaining piece of ply, and attach and glue to the hull.

Add short side supports and cross pieces cut to fit and a seat, or, alternatively, cut out a piece of foam and put into place. You have a Mouse - add varnish and paint to taste.
