Favourite flying site in Britain is our Tow field near Cheltenham "XClent" club

Haven't been to the same places often enough to have a favourite flying site in Europe/world, but my best flying to date abroad has been in Piedrahita, distance, height gain and overall altitude personal bests all in one flight.

Most memorable flying experience was the first time I got to goal BPC 1999 round 2

Who do I admire in the sport? Anyone who flys better than me and has the time to share their knowledge with others and doesn't infringe airspace or cloud fly to win competitions of the XC league.

Most deplorable trait in myself : Impatience.

Most deplorable trait in others : Illogical reasoning.

When not flying I Update this web site, DIY, PC support for friends and family, keep very fit, despite the asthma. Ride my Yamaha FJR 1300

Favourite piece of music Anything by Hawkwind.

Favourite Film The Alien series, Top Secret, Band of Brothers

Favourite Book(s) Owners/instruction manuals, since it normally means I've bought another toy, Band of Brothers

Greatest fear : Being paralysed from the neck down. Or as some pilots I know, from the neck up.

Idea of perfect happiness :Having the money to indulge myself in all my hobbies.

My motto : Believe in yourself and you'll succeed.

I'd like to be remembered : by the historians of the 22nd century.

Previous history : Moved to Rainham in Essex when 7 yrs. old. Went to Dunningford Junior School and then onto Brittons Comprehensive Secondary school. Worked as a Laboratory Technician for Roneo Vickers for 4 years before going to do my degree. Worked in Harpenden for the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food for a year during my degree.
